The Parvovirus B19 IgG Antibody Test is a laboratory blood test that detects Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against Parvovirus B19. The test is also used alongside Parvovirus B19 IgM testing to help evaluate recent or past infection.

Parvovirus B19 is a common virus that infects only humans. It is best known for causing erythema infectiosum (fifth disease) in children, which is characterized by the classic "slapped cheek" rash. In adults, infection may present with joint pain, arthritis, mild fever, or flu-like symptoms, and many infections are asymptomatic.

The virus spreads mainly through:
