The examination provides excellent visualization of the parotid glands, facial nerves, salivary ducts, lymph nodes, and surrounding soft tissues. MRI is highly effective in identifying benign and malignant tumors, inflammatory conditions, abscesses, cysts, salivary gland enlargement, ductal abnormalities, and other structural changes affecting the gland.

Patients with persistent gland swelling, facial asymmetry, palpable masses, recurrent infections, unexplained facial pain, or abnormal findings on ultrasound may be referred for MRI Parotid Region imaging.
